Dr. Matt Clarke, a Sioux Falls native, graduated from Lincoln High School in 2004 before earning his Biology degree from South Dakota State University in 2008. After college, he worked in ethanol research at POET Research Center in Scotland, SD, before pursuing his passion for optometry. In 2009, Dr. Clarke attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL, where he graduated in 2013.
Diagnosed with an eye problem at a young age that required surgery and corrective lenses, Dr. Clarke understands firsthand the impact of early detection and treatment. His experience inspired him to help others in the same way he was helped, which fuels his passion for eye care.
With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Clarke is skilled in the treatment of ocular diseases like dry eye syndrome, cataracts, and glaucoma management. He takes pride in helping patients improve their visual health, whether through managing disease or providing better visual outcomes.
In his free time, Dr. Clarke enjoys the outdoors, golfing, hunting, and spending time with his family—his wife Tressa and their children, Ellis and Stellan.
