John Sivesind, O.D.

John Sivesind grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1996. He attended Wright State University, in Dayton, OH on a basketball scholarship and continued his education and basketball career at Colorado State University where he graduated with a Biology degree in 2001. He headed East to The Ohio State University College of Optometry and graduated in 2005. Dr. Sivesind started North Central Eye inside Wal Mart in 2005, Flandreau Santee Tribal Clinic since 2012 and now inside LensCrafters since 2022. He volunteers for the Lions Club at the Community Health Center and is an InfantSee provider. John loves all aspects of optometry including pediatric/geriatric care, ocular disease, contact lenses(including specialty lenses), refractive and cataract surgery co-management, and red eye emergencies. Trying to prevent vision loss is a top priority for Dr. John as he promotes a healthy lifestyle, early childhood eye exams and recommends to never rub your eyes.

​Dr. Sivesind is passionate about all athletic activities especially basketball and golf. John loves spending time with his family (wife-Brandy, children- Nolan, Cooper, Crosby) doing a myriad of activities.

Dr. Matt Clarke. O.D.

Matt Clarke grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 2004. He attended South Dakota State University where he graduated with a Biology degree in 2008. After college, Dr. Clarke worked in ethanol research for POET Research Center in Scotland, SD.

In 2009, Dr. Clarke began attending the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL and graduated in 2013. Dr. Clarke started his practice working inside Visionworks in Sioux Falls upon graduating from optometry school. Matt enjoys seeing patients of all ages and optometric needs including ocular disease, contact lens exams, surgical co-management, and red eye emergencies. Having your kids in for early childhood examinations is very important to Dr. Clarke as he was diagnosed with an eye problem at a young age that required surgery. It was this detection at a young age that helped correct and save his vision.

In his free time, Dr. Clarke enjoys being outdoors, golfing, hunting, numerous other athletic activities, and spending time with his family(wife- Tressa, children- Ellis and Stellan).
